DoK Pilots
Pilots are DoK’s ambassadors. They represent the community and help new contributors find their way.
Applications open
The first 15 Pilots start in March 2027.
The program
- 30 Pilots in 2027: 15 start in March, 15 in September
- 4 hours a month, with one credited contribution per quarter
- Eligible after 2 contributions at review level or above
- Vendor staff capped at 40% of each cohort
Pilots are recognized as Major Contributors and listed on the contributors page.
What Pilots do
- Represent DoK at conferences, meetups and online
- Pair with new contributors and reply within 48 hours
- Ship at least one contribution a quarter: a pattern, a review, a talk or a Dock event
- Help run the Contributor Program week to week

Travel grants and tickets depend on budget and sponsor support each year.
